One sunny morning, a happy-go-lucky man was walking in a park overflowing with beautiful flowers and trees. He was holding a large basket over one arm. Every so often, he would grab out at the sky and put something into his basket.

A small boy was watching the man with considerable fascination. After a while, his curiosity got the better of him. He approached the man and asked, pardon me mister, but what are you doing?

The man replied, this afternoon I am to give a keynote speech at a grand historic conference. It will be attended by all the greatest minds in the world who believe in their own opinions, ideas and perceptions of the truths, in their religions and science.

I am grabbing different aspects of truth, putting them all in my basket, so that I can present them to all the noble minds. It may enable them to study and understand their own truths more clearly. The little boy looked inside the basket to find it full of thin air.

I Work Hard—So Why Ain't I Rich?

Quite often, disillusioned writers and poets ask me, I work hard—so why ain't I rich?

In the beginning, nature provided humans with the fruits of the forest.
After long arduous tasks, adventurous hunters located delicious delicacies and brought them home for their tribes to enjoy.

In to-days world, we only have to go to the shopping mall or supermarket to find a great array of choices. However, to be able to afford all the goodies, we need a commodity called money.

Therefore, we require access to, the delicious fruits, in the forest of our mind, to be able to afford the luxuries of life. The neuron receptors of our brain are the trees of knowledge that can spark our prosperity, once we understand how to access the wisdom that nourishes them.

If we sit in our hut and find work a hard slog and say, I want the world, given to me on a plate, we will sit there for a long time. Eventually, we will die from malnutrition of authentic wisdom, whilst we moan and groan how unfair the world has treated us ... However, if we pursue our hearts desires with universal wisdom, we will find the fruits of our labor very rewarding.

All truly successful writers understand, creative, original works are fed to them from a universal intelligent energy. To be able to access the fountains of delights the writer’s personality and ego needs to take a back seat and become happy passengers. The brain then becomes a vehicle fueled by Live Alchemy ... The divine transmitted chemistry connecting heaven and earth.


That said, all the treasures of natural beauty, joy and love, is freely available on a daily basis, but it seems to be taken for granted by too many people... Thus, it does not give the awareness of any true, lasting value to them.

So, simply put, to answer the question, "Why can't I become rich?"
The answer is; "You are rich right now, just become aware of who you are."

They say all that glitters is not gold, but in the writer’s world of Hollywood a few bags of gold can help put a writer into films...But, is that what the writer really wanted?

Many writers do dream of fame and fortune. Indeed, if they learn the tricks of the trade, even a mediocre writer can become well known with scripts accepted to make mediocre movies.

The methods suggested by “the experts” are to employ an army of assistants from agents, lawyers, researchers, personal managers and publicists and more. I guess that is where a few bags of gold to start with can come in handy... for they do not come cheap.

The writer is then required to become a social animal. Being seen at all the right parties is essential to become part of the big time scene. Image making is the order of the day and the writer has to become a part of the jigsaw, an integral piece that has always fitted into the correct space.

Of course, mixing with the creme-de-la-creme gives budding writers an excellent opportunity to *fall in love* with their beloved dream mate (one who can open all the doors of fortune) and you can't get more romantic than that ... can you?

Many writers have found their way into movies by letting the publicity machine do their walking and talking and I am not criticizing or condemning those folks who have walked this path. The question writers must ask themselves is, "What do I want out of life."

Does the writer want to put his/her energy into writing great works, or is it more important to brown nose the power brokers who make the decisions on who or what is accepted in the land of media mania?

Do writers come to terms with reality in today's hi-tech driven world and jump on the band wagon of hype... or, do they carry on writing and not prostitute their soul for a Beverly Hills mansion ?...The answers are blowing in the winds of time. Anyone who becomes endowed with the intelligence of a season’s breeze will find the authentic answers to the writer’s world of true prosperity.

There are no correct or wrong methods of gaining success, for being a writer is a personal quest. There are no real guidelines to true success as a writer that are written in stone. However, there is no doubt that any writer who has a significant, meaningful message to voice to the world ... will eventually be heard.

The more their intelligence and intellect are used for their correct purpose...... the more valuable their writing becomes.

So the question really boils down to ... does the writer want to produce great works of value, merit and virtue for humanity to savor, or is theirs a quest only to seek fame and fortune? Does the writer want Gucci shoes and Cartier diamonds?... or does he/she want to walk barefoot and *Knock their socks off?*

Who knows ... maybe they can have it all?

The Excellent Writer Within

The art of good writing comes from the artist within. All humans have the ability to become great authors, poets, artists and musicians, etc., so why do most folks find it such a difficult task? Why do many people say I could never be a writer or I could never aspire to write poetry? And why do folks who do write get discouraged when their work is rejected?

We are what we think, so if we believe we cannot succeed in our daily actions, then for sure we will never get away from our perception of who we think we are. This self-defeating attitude was not of our making. As we were growing up and maturing into adulthood, we were indoctrinated with thousands of negative thoughts. This gave us a belief that we are only a housewife or only a truck driver. This limited vision of our role in life-gives us a limited life. People the world over have great creativity. Once we start to understand who we are and the reasons we exist, we start to cultivate eloquent works of creativity.

Just writing worthy, meaningful, literature will not get the success it deserves unless we possess the resolve to carry on writing in spite of the critics. There will always be those who criticize a writer, no matter how good the composition. Rejection is an everyday experience for most writers. This is a joy we must accept and grow from. Just because someone does not like our essay, does not mean it has no value. It means it was not acceptable to the editor or book reviewer that was reading the essay.

We can do two things when we are constantly being rejected. We can give up and say it was not meant to be. Alternatively, we can say; "How do I become a better writer and have my work accepted by more of the "establishment." Once a small section of the general public start to take an interest in our writing, the sheep mentality of the "establishment" will no doubt follow. It always has. It always will. Success breeds success.

Until we can find the inner core of creativity and start to write from the soul, we will never become a great writer. We may achieve a modicum of success by writing a few columns for a newspaper or magazine but that could keep us in a vacuum. We can scrape a living, but may not amass a fortune, for we are trying to write and trying will never cut the mustard.

The secret to excellent writing is to enjoy with ecstatic abandonment each letter and syllable we put down on paper. The pure joy of writing makes us a success, nothing else will. Those who tell us we have to struggle and sweat have not grasped true meaning in their lives. We need no approval of any human to be a success.

Stop trying to become a success. We are a success already. We were born. We are a success of life. The sperm hit the egg and here we are.

Everything else we do and achieve is just a bonus.

Life is to be enjoyed not endured. Joy brings true meaning to life.

Now the next question to ask is what is Joy? What does Joy mean and how do we achieve it? Look within—take time to silence the mind and feel the texture of nothingness. Smell the perfume of celestial splendor. Discover the sound of cosmic waves flowing though our subconscious mind. Palpate infinity. Breathe eternity. Conceive the splendor of maturating into the essence of a successful writer. Be the word, become the poem, live the adventure.

Everything we do is inscribed in our book of life. We just need to learn how to read the instructions written within every cell and molecule of our being. Each tissue and sinew bleeds muscular power of infinite, majestic might. Fly on the wings of limitless mastery. Escape the shrouded cocoon and become the enchanting butterfly.
